Beehre Studio Projects

Aaron Beehre is an award-winning designer and artist from Aotearoa New Zealand. Raised beside the ocean in Whangārei, Aaron now lives in the Port Hills of Ōtautahi Christchurch and lectures at the University of Canterbury Ilam School of Fine Arts. A vigilant observer of the world around him, his practice merges traditional design with contemporary techniques, creating work that resonates on multiple levels.

His practice has been exhibited nationally (with work held in prestigious collections such as Te Papa and Christchurch Art Gallery) as well as international exhibitions in Germany, Australia and China.

At once timeless and contemporary, this collection of hand-crafted light shades draws on observations of forms in nature, creating moments of delight and wonder within the home.
